This intriguing gem crystal of green Elbaite tourmaline sits atop alternating zones of pink and green naturally etched Elbaite with stepped parallel growth like a multi-staged rocket. Measuring 5.2 cm tall it is a good size for a smaller display, or a display of miniatures, exuding character throughout. With backlighting it explodes with life. It comes from the famous Cruzeiro mine at São José da Safira, Doce valley, Minas Gerais, Brazil. Ex Koch collection.
