NATIVE Bismuth with Skutterudite$8,500.00

Wire transfers available, to set up
A world-class specimen of wonderfully crystallised Native Bismuth richly overgrowing metallic silver Skutterudite from Shaft 38 at Niederschlema, Erzgebirgskreis, Saxony in Germany. Although labelled as Skutterudite (CoAs3) this is more likely Nickelskutterudite, (Ni,Co,Fe)As3, following more recent analysis and characterisation of specimens labelled Skutterudite from this locality. The Native Bismuth forms as sharp, symmetric trigonal crystals to over 1 cm tall, of dull sintered grey to a brassy-tan. Crystals of other morphologies are present, including skeletal structures which can appear like, but are not, epimorphs. This is a high-quality miniature of Native Bismuth with Skutterudite-Nickelskutterudite from Saxony, which would make a superb addition to any great collection.
