An elaborate fanned spray of gemmy prismatic Aquamarine crystals terminated by flat pinacoid terminations. This beautiful ex. matrix specimen is from the Shigar Valley in the Northern Areas region of Pakistan. This locality is set in a stunning mountainous landscape of spectacular proportions, the mountain sides of which host a plethora of spectacular gem deposits. Aquamarine, the blue variety of Beryl, forms transparent gemmy prisms which grade from vibrant sky blue to a more translucent pale sky blue towards their common base, all with a bright glassy lustre. All crystals are almost damage free, fortunately lacking from noticeable chips and contacts. This is a very nice miniature Aquamarine to say the least!
