A classic Swiss Hematite specimen, with lustrous hexagonal platey crystals of Hematite growing from a cream Feldspar and Quartz matrix. The Hematite crystals measure to 2.2cm with mirror like lustre, exhibiting lamellar growth and sharply formed edges. There is an epitaxial overgrowth of red Rutile crystals, aligned in the direction of the hexagonal Hematite growth, typical for this area. The Rutile forms elongate flat crystals to 0.4cm. A great classic Hematite specimen.
