A true Swedish and indeed European classic. A well-developed bright, silvery metallic pseudocubic crystal of Cobaltite sits atop of a dappled white miniature-sized matrix from Tunaberg. The Cobaltite crystal measures 1.3 cm across and has a tint of pink, with a smaller, 4 mm crystal, protruding out from one side. Another smaller crystal is developed in the nearby matrix too. Known from the early 19th century, the Cobaltite crystals from Tunaberg and Håkansboda are the undisputed world's best, but crystals on matrix are much harder to find than loose individuals. The way this specimen presents for display is particularly nice, and the Cobaltite crystal is a really good size too.
