Tucson, Arizona, USAA well-known yet rare pseudomorph of bladed Azurite completely replaced by metallic dark grey Tennantite, the largest replaced crystal measuring to 2.5 cm long. This excellent example of Tennantite pseudomorphing after Azurite is from the Tsumeb mine in the Oshikoto Region of Namibia. Under low magnification the pseudomorph is seen to be composed of micro-granular Tennantite with a fine sucrosic texture which forms sharply defined crystals replacing former Azurite. A terrific pseudomorph from the famous Tsumeb mine.
