A fine sparkling druse of metallic black bladed crystals of specular Hematite, admirably supports excellent colourless gemmy single, and groups of mostly double terminated pyramidal crystals of Quartz, measuring to 1.7cm. The specular Hematite and Quartz has formed on a low relief botryiodal shell of red-brown Hematite, with a further partial covering of black specular Hematite on the underside of the specimen. A classic specimen from the Florence Mine, Cumbria, England.
