Cassiterite crystals to 5 mm wide richly cover the top surface of a heavily iron stained Quartz and Killas matrix. Wheal Kitty is a famous mine by the coastal village of St. Agnes, whose mineralisation results from the St. Agnes Granite, a satellite extension of the Carnmenellis Granite. The Cassiterite crystals are semi-translucent towards their edges, so allowing their true clove brown colour to be occasionally observed. This lovely Cassiterite miniature is accompanied with a Sam Weller (Pendeen, West Cornwall) label.\n
