A delightful light bubble gum-pink Rhodochrosite from its type locality at the Cavnic mine in Maramure? County, Romania on a snow-white Quartz matrix. The Rhodochrosite forms rosettes of stacked saddle-shaped crystals which build to form botryoidal mounds of between 2 to 2.5 cm diameter. Similar sized mounds of pure snow-white micro Quartz crystals compliment the Rhodochrosite. A highly aesthetic specimen from Cavnic.
