Crystal ClassicsFeatured
Tucson, Arizona, USAA beautifully crystallised pseudomorph of Malachite after Azurite from the Tsumeb mine in the Oshikoto Region of Namibia. Razor-sharp crystals of Malachite replacing Azurite completely hide an underlying matrix of Dolomite and Smithsonite, with crystals averaging around 1 to 1.5 cm wide. The crystals are complex and perfect, with the Malachite forming bright leaf-green silky, fibrous faces, with other faces a much darker, velvety-green. An excellently formed and aesthetic specimen.
