Three well developed, gemmy colourless Sceptre Quartz crystals extend above surrounding prismatic Quartz crystals, forming a divergent habit covering a metallic crystalline Pyrite matrix. This aesthetic small cabinet specimen is from Baia Sprie in Maramure? County, Romania. All the regular hexagonal Quartz crystals have a bright glassy lustre whereas the Sceptres display a semi-matt satin lustre on the Sceptre faces. A super example of Sceptre Quartz.
