This bicoloured terminated crystal of Elbaite tourmaline from the Himalaya mine, San Diego Co, California might only be 2.4 cm in length but its quality is extremely fine. It displays a grey-green core overgrown by a gem pink colour, but it is its termination which is exceptional, with no chipping whatsoever. A very pleasing miniature tourmaline from this most famous of American gem mines. Ex Christian Weise and ex Bill Larson in 1986.
