From the world-famous Panasqueira mine at Covilhã in Portugal, an 8.7 cm tall, transparent, gemmy Quartz crystal is preferentially coated on one side with sparkling, snowy white clusters of Calcite. This is attached adjacent to a mound of bladed, silver-fawn Mica sheaves dotted with similar snowy white Calcite. Sprinkled over the blackened crests of the Muscovite blades are tiny Pyrite crystals adding extra interest and sparkle. A delightful display specimen from Panasqueira!
