Description
An amazing group of intergrown snow-white Calcite spheres and hemispheres all of which have their top half coloured grey-black by the inclusion of finely disseminated Boulangerite. The six conjoined spheres vary between 2.5 and 2.8 cm in diameter and have very low relief Calcite crystal blades forming their outer surface. From the classic Herja mine at Chiuzbaia in Romania, what makes specimens such as this quite remarkable is the exacting cut-off between the Boulangerite included half, as if scribed across the specimen or a Plimsoll line along a ship. A choice specimen.
