This particularly well developed 2.5 cm x 1.2 cm tabular hexagonal crystal of purple-red Corundum variety Ruby stands perfectly for display above its surrounding dappled white and black matrix. It is from the Froland area in Norway probably the Kleggåsen Ruby quarry. Ex Christian Weise.
