A vuggy matrix of cellular, gossany vein Quartz of which two faces are richly invested with vivid acid-yellow hexagonal crystals of Pyromorphite from Roughton Gill in the Caldbeck Fells, Cumbria. The Pyromorphite crystals are up to 8 mm long and form attractive dense mats in and across the matrix. A specimen of stunning colour for this well-known and historic locality.
