Apophyllite from the historic silver mining area of St. Andreasberg in Lower Saxony, Germany, is one of those 'must have' species in any collection from this locality. More accurately the species is Fluorapophyllite-(K) and forms beautifully crystallised groups at this classic locality. Colourless transparent to translucent Apophyllite crystals to 5 mm across coat all sides but one of a small sliver of micro-granular Quartz. A lovely thumbnail Apophyllite from the iconic mines around St. Andreasberg.
