Tucson, Arizona, USACollected in 1982 by John Jones in the Salts Level of Ecton mine, this is a very rich example of an Ecton malachite. The bright nickel green malachite almost totally covers an undulating Baryte matrix, forming a hillocky, undulating surface. Under low magnification the Malachite is well crystallised, although not in a crystal form I associate with Malachite! The Malachite covers a Baryte matrix, making a rather unusual yet attractive small cabinet specimen. It is accompanied with a John Jones label dated 8th May 1982.
