A lovely thumbnail specimen of the rare Pb-Cu-Fe-Zn phosphate Gartrellite, forming tiny light pistachio-green botryoidal mounds over the surface of a sliver of opaque milky Quartz. Following its discovery at Tsumeb, this mineral remained uncharacterised and was catalogued under the 'unknown' suite as 'Mineral Gamma' eventually to be identified as Gartrellite. This specimen is housed in a small high dome plastic Jousi box.
Origin: Tsumeb Mine, Otjikoto Region, Namibia
