Tucson, Arizona, USAThis aesthetic large miniature display specimen of reticulated Cerussite from the Tsumeb mine, Namibia is of the form often termed a 'snowflake twin' for reasons that should be apparent. Reticulated Cerussite is known from many other world occurrences, but none compare with the 'stocky' chunky form found at Tsumeb mine. The reticulated bladed arms of the Cerussite here, measure to 4 cm in length with a somewhat arborescent appearance and a translucent creamy colour. The Cerussite crystals are well-formed all round, show little in the way of damage and sit nicely for display. A small amount of Malachite occurs in association at the base of the specimen. Classic Tsumeb mine material, instantly recognizable as from this iconic mine with fine crystallographic detail and of a nice size for display.
