A very fine specimen of well crystallised Braunite from the N'Chwaning mines at Kuruman in the Kalahari Manganese Field, South Africa. The Braunite crystals which cover the top surface, are around 5 to 8 mm high, black to steel-grey and with a lustrous, almost silky metallic lustre. A very good Braunite specimen from the N'Chwaning mines.
