Tucson, Arizona, USAA great display of the classic pseudomorph of Malachite after Azurite from the famous Tsumeb Mine, Namibia. The specimen essentially has two connected areas of Azurite crystals measuring to 1.8cm which have been faithfully replaced by dark to light silky lustrous green Malachite. Crystals of Azurite had originally grown on a white Quartz matrix, with a later deposition of drusy light green Arsentsumebite on the Quartz. An excellent display of the pseudomorph.
