Tucson, Arizona, USADeep inky azure-blue Azurite crystals and silky, emerald-green Malachite plumes of acicular needles scattered over various areas of a smoky-carmine-red and light orange-tan Limonitic matrix. The specimen is from the old and historic Copper Queen mine at Bisbee in Arizona, USA. The Azurite forms squat, thick, tabular crystals to approximately 1.5 x 1.0 x 0.4 cm, with vertically striated faces and a bright glassy lustre. Two good 1 x 1 x 0.3 cm blades sit on the rear of the specimen. A terrific old-time Bisbee specimen.
