Siderite on Quartz
Glassy, burnt deep amber-yellow crystals of the iron carbonate Siderite richly coat a small plate of milky-white Quartz and also occurs in a thin veinlet on the base. The Siderite crystals are typically to about 5 mm across and have a most attractive brilliant lustre. Attached at one side are stubby light-grey Quartz crystals with an overgrowth of blocky, part-octahedral pseudomorphs of unknown composition or origin. An interesting and attractive Tincroft Siderite.
