Quartz Pseudomorph After Fluorite$650.00

Wire transfers available, to set up
A Cornish classic. A creamy white dome of Quartz var. Chalcedony forms pseudomorphs replacing a layer of intergrown octahedral Fluorite crystals, individually to over 1 cm on edge. Obviously from Wheal Mary Ann at Menheniot in the Liskeard district of Cornwall, the unusual aspect here is that two layers of Chalcedony are separated by a bed of lustrous colourless to faintly smoky Quartz crystals growing inwards into a layered cavity. The pseudomorphed Fluorite crystals are all closely joined but they still show lots of detail and are in good condition, making for a fine large miniature specimen of this famous Cornish pseudomorph. Ex Glyn Cunnick collection.
