Sharply formed deep emerald green bladed to prismatic terminated crystals of Atacamite measuring to 8 mm in length occupy a third of the display side of this large miniature specimen, with a sparkling druse of micro-crystals of Paratacamite covering the remainder and sparsely associated with rare colourless Caracolite microcrystals. Recorded as from the Sierra Gorda area in Chile, that area includes the Type Localities for Paratacamite and Caracolite but whether this specimen is from either of those mines is not clear. The specimen does, however, come with two early old labels, one from Karl Tausch (1893-1970). Ex Professor Werner Paar Collection.
