This Tsumeb Malachite is of outstanding quality and is a single species specimen, whereby nothing else will detract from its elegant aesthetic. Coating a tapering matrix of typical Tsumeb pinkish light-grey Dolomite country rock, the deep emerald-green Malachite forms a 5 to 7 mm thick crust of densely packed acicular crystals aligned normal (at 90 degrees) to the matrix surface. The terminations of these crystals form a lustrous glistening pitted and undulating surface, in the middle of which is an almost perfect crystallised hemisphere to almost 2.5 cm diameter. This specimen comes with a custom-made clear acrylic base, with milled contours in which the broad end of the specimen engages, so displaying the Malachite vertically. It is a beautiful, perfect, and aesthetic Malachite form Tsumeb.
