An excellent and quite spectacular specimen of intergrown Fluorite crystals displaying as a crest over the light-coloured Calcite-rich matrix. This show-stopping cabinet specimen is from the Nikolaevskiy mine in Dal'negorsk, Russia. The mining district of Dal'negorsk (now also spelt Dalnegorsk) is in far eastern Russia, close to the Sea of Japan and was formerly known to the Chinese as The Valley of the Wild Pigs! The crystals of Fluorite are gemmy, colourless and highly lustrous and display cubic, octahedral and dodecahedral faces, giving the Fluorite a rounded appearance. The crystal's shape, size, colour and texture make them appear squashable, like big juicy jellies, they are gorgeous! A super Fluorite specimen, displayable from both sides from the Nikolaevskiy mine in eastern Russia. This specimen is accompanied by a former German collector's label and a Czech Republic dealer's label.
