A mouth-watering large miniature of citrus-apple-green cubic Fluorite crystals embedded in a druse of glassy Quartz crystals, cover a Quartz-Chalcedony matrix. Despite the remarkable and complex mineralogy of Cornwall, crystallised Fluorite is surprisingly rare and Wheal Mary Ann at Menheniot, close to the town of Liskeard, is a classic locality. The largest Fluorite crystal measures 1.7 cm on edge. Specimens form Wheal Mary Ann are much-loved among collectors of Cornish minerals and this is a little beauty!
