A perfect thumbnail specimen featuring a glassy and very gemmy crystal atop a pedestal of other garnets. From a classic locality that is now closed. The large crystal measures 1.4 cm across. It is from the large Canadian collection of the late, legendary dealer, Charlie Key, of which Jeffrey Mine was his favorite suite. He long kept thumbnails and miniature Jeffrey specimens, such as this, in his personal collection, long after he sold the bulk of it to myself and Marshall Sussman around 2010.
