Pederneira tourmalines are not always gemmy - often translucent but not transparent and GEMMY, in that sense of the word's literal meaning. Here is a 35 gram total gem crystal, glassy and vibrant. From the Azul Bien Grande pocket (circa 2010), it has a unique look that makes this immediately recognizable compared to other pockets. Like almost all others from this pocket and others there, it is repaired at this size (4 repairs with minor restoration). A fine example from old, now historic pockets at this famous mine. We also just realized, it is doubly terminated, as well.
