This small cabinet specimen features a beautiful, gemmy to translucent, 5.8 cm Fluorapatite crystal on a Hyalite matrix accompanied by several smaller crystals. This glassy, yellow-green crystal is the classic color for these Fluorapatite specimens from the Cerro de Mercado iron mine. The crystal is dominated by prism faces and nicely terminated on one end, making this a great display piece! The other end of the crystal is contacted. A super showy matrix piece in association with Hyalite that is highly fluorescent! Matrix specimens are uncommon from this classic Mexican locale! Comes with a custom engraved acrylic base. From the collection of Mexico specialist dealer and collector, Jason New. While many of these are simply representative, this one is special, and unusually robust in color and impact.
