A colorful, stout, gemmy Elbaite Tourmaline crystal that is of an typically complex color palette for old material from the Coronel Murta area of Mines. Polychrome Tourmalines like this aren't common from this locality today, however, and most of the body of the crystal is a pinkish magenta and the top third is a translucent to gem light olive green. In some light, it looks more orange. It is striated parallel to its length and sports a perfect, complex, pyramidal termination. A sharp, robust and unusual style of Tourmaline from the rich Minas Gerais gem district! From an old tourmaline collection we obtained.
