Large olmiite crystal clusters to 3.5 cm highlight this elegant matrix piece, of olmiite on calcite, from finds of the early 2000s. We obtained this piece from the late, great Charlie Key, who bought the best pockets. Beautiful, sparkling olmiite spherical aggregates of this quality were very rare, even at the time they were coming out, on any kind of elegant matrix. This is therefore a significant display specimen. Please note these change colors in lights, from red to orange to brown, depending on the ambient lighting used. This is a phenomenal specimen that came to us when we purchased Charlie's private collection circa 2005, with Marshall Sussman, sold and now recycled back to us in a purchase.
