Yellow Fluorites from Illinois aren't common anymore (if ever) and the Minerva #1 Mine produced the best ones like this beautiful one. This lovely yellow small cabinet piece is from the heyday in the 1980s or early 1990s and is dominated by large, 4.9 cm cube with a rich, warm yellow color that has a hint of apricot. The very interior of the Fluorite is turbid, but quickly becomes transparent towards the exterior. The lustrous crystal is highlighted by a thin, 2.5 mm, medium purple rim that adds greatly to the beauty and allure of the piece. A portion of a second, smaller, sidecar Fluorite and its tiny companion are present on one side of the piece. It's very aesthetic for its beauty and balance; simply stunning in person. It also fluoresces a gentle yellow in short wave UV. Pristine except one tiny corner restoration. Custom base included.
