Well-formed, 1 to 4mm, isolated and tightly grouped, metallic gray, octahedral crystals of linnaeite cover one surface of this great German classic. The remaining surfaces exhibit subhedral, granular massive aggregates of linnaeite crystals locally associated with brassy, massive chalcopyrite. This piece originates from the Jungfer mine, Musen, Siegerland, North Rhine-Westphalia, Germany. Ex. Christian Rewitzer personal collection with label, accompanied by an old German label. This is a very rich specimen.
