Fluorite with Galena
Glassy, transparent, emerald green, twinned crystals of Fluorite cover the front of this handsome piece from a classic English locality. Many of these stunning crystals show classic Fluorite interpenetration twins and are up to 2.8cm on edge! The color saturation of these crystals is INTENSE, some of the best of the previous mining era from the mid-2000's. The Fluorites are gemmy to the core and display very fine, barely discernible, concentric growth hillocks on their faces for added effect (more obvious and interesting in person). Crystal faces and edges are super sharp! There are a few dull gray, rounded, cuboctahedral Galena crystals present with one measuring 1cm across. This piece fluoresces a DEEP vivid purple even in sunlight and a UV light isn't needed to see the fluorescence. None of the main crystals show any imperfections and there are only minor contacts around the periphery. Rarely do you see a nice small cabinet specimen like this with no damage of note and such good coverage,
