An aesthetic, classic pseudomorph of copper minerals, one replacing the other, from the Ray Mine of Arizona. A striking, upright, tight, slightly divergent cluster of sharp, blue-green pseudomorphs of Chrysocolla after Azurite crystals are prominently displayed on this attractive thumbnail specimen. There are at least seven, colorful prismatic crystals that compose this group and all of the primary ones are terminated with a crosswise one at the back that is unterminated. The nice Chrysocolla after Azurite pseudomorph crystals, some of which are broken at the bottom of the piece where they came off the matrix, reveal beautiful color zoning from light blue-green to darker teal. This great pseudomorph from the Ray Mine probably originated from the 2280 Level. These old classics are rarely seen for sale. Superb for its size with unusually elegant structure.
