Totally composed of lustrous and translucent cerussite crystals, to 1 cm across, this specimen is rare because it is colored a light yellow by minute amounts of chromium. The Dundas area is the best known deposit for this rare occurrence of chromium cerussite. There have only been a few pockets, over many years, of this rare material.
