Iconic Scheelites such as these hit the mineral world from 2012-2016. These intergrown, nicely-formed tetragonal Scheelites are textbook-sharp, with each crystal measuring 6.6 cm. The luster is good, and the crystals intergrow in a way that is complementary and appealing. Speckles of Molybdenite include the Scheelites, and these contribute to the grey shading. The classic blue-white fluorescence adds to the high quality and excellent aesthetics of this small cabinet display piece. Huanggang has become a world class locality for Scheelite and other minerals but, unfortunately, production of Scheelites has slowed dramatically.
