This matrix specimen of a classic German silver species, stephanite, features an unusually sharp 1.4 cm crystal with a complex termination. The crystal is nicely balanced on a bit of matrix of smaller crystals and is complete around 360 degrees. It is a perfect stephanite, especially for this old locality, and certainly dates to the 1800s or before.
