This is a textbook, large, well-formed Zircon crystal from Madagascar of an old style, rarely seen today. It was perhaps brought out by French geologist Jean Behier who worked in the country for many years in the early-mid 1900s and supplied specimens to museums and collectors. It's a very fine example for the species in quality of form, monoclinic crystallography, and translucent reddish color along the primary edge of the crystal and for much of the main crystal face, which is highly unusual for crystals of this size. This exceptional Zircon floater is just over 4 cm in length and is doubly terminated.
