Sphalerite with Galena and Quartz$2,250.00

Wire transfers available, to set up
A fine example of a unique combination of sphalerite associated with sharp galena crystals is from late 1990s and early 2000s finds at this now-defunct specimen mine in Hunan Province of China. Sphalerites to 3.2 cm have a deep red-orange color and are very reminiscent of old Spanish material. The combination with galena is so unique to this day - galena itself is rare in Chinese lead and metallic deposits for some reason. This aesthetic, colorful small cabinet specimen was purchased by Dr Steve Smale at the time they came out, and long in his collection.
