Lustrous, brown Pyromorphites in parallel growth from the world famous Bad Ems area of Germany! This cluster consists of a dozen or so (maybe two) stacked crystals interestingly overlapping to form a gracefully curving arc. This is the CLASSIC form for the locality, hoppers included, and it is quite fine for size, color and aesthetic form. The largest crystal is about 1.2 cm. There are two damaged crystals on the back side, but there is only the most trivial of wear on the presentation side (as do most such old pyro specimens). This was almost certainly mined in the late 19th century. An excellent Bad Ems miniature. Fioravanti obtained it in 1966 by exchange from the Marracino collection.
