A fine miniature composed of brilliant, "scalenohedral-looking" Hematite crystals, accented with just a tiny amount of Andradite Garnet crystals. The largest of the Hematites is an amazing 3.5 cm in length and has a just brilliant metallic luster as does its smaller sidecar companion at the bottom. The mirror-bright faces are super sharp and display horizontal striations and growth features in places along their length for increased aesthetic appeal. There are several small (1 to 4 mm) Hematite crystals strategically placed on the front of the large crystal and on the back, the large crystal has a score of 1 mm, pinkish Andradite garnet crystals dotted at the base for some color. This is just a superb miniature from this limited find of exquisite crystals! Many of us refer to this pocket as scalenohedral or pseudo-scalenohedral for the unusual elongated habit. You almost never see one for sale anymore. Ex. Charlie Key collection (sold to us over a decade ago).
