Gemmy, transparent crystals to just over 3 cm form a triplet of growth here, with three octahedral fluorites intergrown in a gorgeous cluster. This is from modern finds (circa 2022) of these stunning green fluorites at a new location for collectible minerals in Peru's famous Pasco mining district. Note the previous locality given was the Milpo Mine... now corrected publicly as the truth is finally out. This is a particularly beautiful specimen for the translucency/transparency combined with shape and strong color. Accents of sharp, metallic crystals are the rare species geocronite. Minor pyrite on bottom. A special piece for the size range! Surprisingly, these fluoresce quite strongly although we are not sure what the chromophore is.
