Superbly perched on matrix are several glassy and gemmy, vivid orange-colored grossular crystals, to generally 1 cm or so. This is a classic grossular specimen in principal, but special in aesthetics! It is hard to decide which side we like best, the side full of garnet or the side contrasting a tower of garnets against sparkly black-coated matrix. This material is from the 1970s or early 1980s glory days here. In this quality, with the true gem sparkle and luster, and in any kind of aesthetics, specimens are rare today.
