The ArkenstoneFeatured
Absolutely gem-clear, this exquisite Spodumene specimen is from the Parun pegmatite field in Afghanistan. The distinct yellow tint is quite attractive, and set against the attached blades of white Albite and small blue Tourmalines, the prismatic, 6.3 cm Spodumene has a dramatic and commanding presence. Under UV light, this gem crystal lights up with such a luminous, orange glow that it is surprising. Simple and striking all at the same time, the aesthetic of this small cabinet piece is excellent for the species. One rarely finds isolated, upright crystals of yellow or green Spodumene on matrix.
