A fine example of an American classic, this display sized specimen of intergrown Franklinite comes from the type locality Sterling Hill Mine at Franklin, NJ. Franklinite exhibits both types of crystal habit. Notably, it not only contains many crystals showing octahedral forms, but also crystals dominated by octahedral faces. This combination is rare amongst franklinite specimens! Crystals range up to 5 cm across , although some are damaged; but it is a fine museum sized display specimen from early to mid 1900s finds. From the notable collection of Dick Hauck, owner and founder of the Sterling Hill Mining Museum
