A large and dramatic, flower-shaped specimen of the deep green "prase" quartz, which is quartz with an even green tone due to dispersed inclusions of the mineral hedenbergite within. Previously, the best of this style of quartz came from Serifos in greece, but China has upended that and without question, the world's finest examples of this stunning rare quartz now come from China. This is a perfect specimen, complete all around, with amazing symmetries and form to the crystals. On closer inspection, each crystal has complicated and yet subtle modifications. It is an even color, not mottled, and has no damage or repairs.
